Our strength comes from our members

Our community of over 150 members is integral to the success of our cancer center.

Representing 3 Schools and 18 Departments across Brown University, members of the Legorreta Cancer Center stem from a wide range of disciplines to provide a complex understanding of cancer. We connect researchers through working groups, programs and research activities to foster a well-rounded cancer-focused community.

The combined expertise of the Legorreta Cancer Center provides the foundation for the development of new knowledge that will translate into improved diagnosis, prevention and treatment, and create a definable impact in cancer care.

Member Benefits

Membership at the Legorreta Cancer Center provides eligibility for pilot funding and access to innovative core resources. This network supports our cancer research mission as a whole, from cell lines to mouse models, chemical libraries, and support for various types of therapeutic and prevention clinical trials.

Members also receive invitations to cancer center specific retreats and research events to connect and collaborate with our diverse cohort of researchers from a multitude of academic and clinical backgrounds.

We depend on the active engagement of our members to enrich the experience of our research community, as well as a strong desire for intra- and inter- programmatic  collaborations.
