The Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University is building world-class cancer research programs with basic science discoveries, translational and population research, and clinical trials to help ease the burden of cancer within the State of Rhode Island. 

Fueled by a culture of collaboration and inquiry, our researchers are Brown University faculty that work across our affiliated health systems at Brown University Health, Care New England, and the VA Providence Health System. We are actively translating complex biological insights into revolutionary targeted therapies and global cancer control models. For researchers, this is a launchpad for high-impact, interdisciplinary discovery backed by cutting-edge resource cores; for students, it is an opportunity to learn in a collaborative and supportive environment. For those with cancer, our clinical partners offer early phase trials and investigator-initiated trials developed with our community in mind.
