At The Legorreta Cancer Center, we’re cultivating the untapped potential of our clinical community to improve cancer care at home and across the world. Our members span across multiple academic institutions and hospitals to create a complex approach to the education, prevention, and treatment of cancer, with strong focus on the social, societal, and environmental factors influencing cancer today.

The Legorreta Cancer Center combines the robust capabilities of Rhode Island’s multiple renowned universities and award-winning hospitals with our close proximity to major medical centers in New York, Boston and New Haven, to create a world class hub of cancer care. We’re addressing Rhode Island’s specific cancer burdens in lung, bladder, and thyroid tumors through research, clinical trials and outreach initiatives.
